ALDERWEIRELD TO SIGN NEW SPURS DEAL


Toby Alderweireld is set to sign a new contract at Tottenham, according to the Daily Mail.
The Belgium international has become a key part of the club's defence since joining from Southampton in 2015, with Spurs conceding just 32 goals in 26 games thus far this season.
Alderweireld's current contract contains a £25 million release clause, but the new deal would see that eradicated as Spurs bid to retain the services of the 27-year-old.

An unnamed Chinese club were willing to pay the Frenchman, who has claimed he will not retire next season amid intense speculation over his Gunners future, £30m-per-year net, double the salary of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
Wenger has not yet made a decision on his Arsenal future, but has been offered a new contract, which is believed to be worth around £10m-per-year. However, Wenger is not keen on a move to China.
